Truck Fleet Management

Designed with Truck Fleet Managers and Transport Operators in mind, TAC–Scan delivers fast, laser precise measurements of tyre tread depth to an accuracy of 0.1mm.

Because RL Automotive understands the logistical complexities of managing vehicles in multiple locations, the need to track individual vehicle histories and the importance of up to date, efficient Fleet records, we have designed the TAC–Scan to be versatile and relevant. Whatever your Fleet requirements for tyre measurement, TAC–Scan can help.

TAC-Scan´s unique design allows you to quickly and easily measure the Tread depth and alignment of all tyres on a vehicle – even tricky inside tyres are effortlessly accessed for measurement.

The easy to use, visual display instructions in the handset are set up for all axle types and will lead you round the vehicle, scanning wheel by wheel. TAC-Scan's laser scan does not just capture tread depth, however; it also picks up alignment issues and highlights uneven wear as an additional benefit for your Fleet management.

Having efficiently scanned any tyres you need to measure, TAC–Scan lets you print an immediate action report from its integral thermal printer, or upload your data via its USB memory stick. Once data is uploaded – either directly to your computer or by email to company headquarters – the sophisticated Diagnostic Software allows you to create a Fleet action report, Fleet summary report, or a vehicle–by–vehicle report.

This vehicle–by–vehicle report includes diagnostic analysis and, like the other reports, can be customised to suit your requirements. As well as the efficient, computerised creation of a Fleet tyre audit, the revolutionary TAC–Scan software will also be a useful, longer term, tool for data analysis, procurement budgeting and customer relations.

Step 1 Input vehicle or Trailer ID – or access it from the TAC–Scan memory

Step 2 Position TAC–Scan against a tyre. A laser scan records tread depths across the tyre in under 5 seconds. At this stage you can also record other tyre details such as inflation pressure, sidewall or crown damage.

Step 3 Even inside tyres can be easily accessed for measurement.

Step 4 After measuring all the tyres (or just one) on the vehicle, an immediate report can be printed from the TAC–Scan´s thermal printer.

Step 5 At any time you choose, the data captured can be taken from TAC–Scan using a USB memory stick, or you can wait until the end of the day to transfer data. TAC-Scan can hold details on 250 vehicles at any one time.

Step 6 Once data is uploaded into a PC or emailed to a main office, it can be used for multiple report types; wheel by wheel, vehicle by vehicle or by entire Fleet. Data can also be stored and used for future analysis and planning.
